About us

The Culture of Image Foundation was launched to promote the values of photography and other visual arts (film included) as the language facilitating free communication across borders and generations. We support photographers in their creative activities and work in the area of visual education. Fascinated by archives. We organize exhibitions and workshops, and publish books.

Our logo features a bowler – a hat made popular mid-19th century, just like photography. Unlike the elegant top hat, it was close to those everyday moments. Same for men and women.

The Foundation was launched in 2010 by three Silesian photographers: Anka Sielska, Michał Łuczak and Krzysztof Szewczyk.
